Congressman Tom Barrett used his social media platform on April 14, 2026, to highlight recent developments in Michigan’s agricultural sector and remind constituents about the upcoming tax filing deadline.

In a post made early in the day, Barrett shared details of a visit with Secretary Rollins to Michigan State University: “I was excited to welcome @SecRollins to @michiganstateu today to highlight the cutting-edge agricultural innovation happening at the Dairy Cattle Teaching & Research Center. We saw firsthand how faculty and students are leading the way to advance the science of dairy management,” he wrote on April 14, 2026.

Later that same day, Barrett addressed Michigan’s role in agricultural production and research. He stated: “In Michigan, our farmers produce more than 300 agricultural commodities, and our scientists lead the way in agricultural research. Yesterday, I was excited to join @SecRollins to announce more than $275 million in grant funding for specialty crop programs — made possible by the” (April 14, 2026).

Barrett also reminded residents about tax obligations as the filing deadline approached. In a third post dated April 14, 2026, he wrote: “We’re just ONE DAY away from this year’s tax filing deadline. Make sure you file and take advantage of the historic relief we delivered with the Working Families Tax Cuts!”
