On June 15, 2025, Senator Slotkin expressed gratitude towards her father with a heartfelt message. She stated: “I wouldn’t be who I am without my dad. He showed me the importance of hard work, that your handshake is your word, and that you can disagree with someone and still love and respect them. So, happy Father’s Day to my dad — and all the other dads out there!”
