State Representative Luke Meerman, a Republican from Coopersville, announced he will be hosting two meetings in April for constituents to meet with him. Held monthly in various locations within the 89th District, these office hours provide an opportunity for residents to engage one-on-one with their elected official, allowing them to share thoughts, ask questions, and express concerns.

The scheduled office hours will take place at the following venues and times: Monday, April 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Interurban Depot Café located at 1580 Arch St in Marne; and Friday, April 18, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ravenna Round Table at 12396 Stafford St in Ravenna. No prior appointment is needed to attend these meetings.

Reflecting on the first quarter of the year, Meerman noted, “We’ve wrapped up a quarter of the year in Lansing and this has been a productive start to the year.” He highlighted achievements such as an oversight overhaul, a roads plan that directs funding to the local level, and efforts to increase budget transparency. “We’re answering the mandate that the people gave us and that mandate is to curb spending and cut government bloat. I look forward to meeting with you later this month to talk about what we’ve accomplished in these short three months,” he added.

For those unable to attend the scheduled office hours but who wish to speak with Rep. Meerman, they can contact his office at 517-373-0838 or email [email protected].
