Senator Elissa Slotkin, who represents Michigan’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates from her recent visits and work activities through a series of posts on social media.

On August 21, 2025, Slotkin posted from Detroit Arsenal, Michigan: “Detroit Arsenal, MI https://t.co/PioPuNvbxN”. Later that day, she also shared a location update from another military site: “Camp Grayling, MI https://t.co/BniEa4gpNi”.

The following day, August 22, Slotkin highlighted her experiences working with interns in both Washington D.C. and Michigan offices. She wrote: “One of my favorite parts of being a Senator is working with interns in both my Washington D.C., and Michigan offices. From answering Michiganders’ calls and mail, to taking notes in meetings and hearings, to serving hot dogs on National Hot Dog Day, this inaugural class of Senate https://t.co/t90C0jLP6Z”.

Elissa Slotkin has served as the congressional representative for Michigan’s 7th District since 2019 after succeeding Mike Bishop. Born in New York City in 1976 and currently residing in Lansing at age 46, Slotkin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998.
