Oakland University Credit Union (OUCU), a tradename of MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), recently received the Baker College of Auburn Hills Education Advocate Award for its financial education programs.

The award was presented during the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce brunch on Dec. 9, 2019. The annual event honors business leaders in the areas of innovation, leadership and community involvement.

“Providing financial education is a priority of the credit union,” said MSUFCU Chief Marketing Officer Deidre Davis. “Our commitment to educating our members and the public contributes to their financial literacy and creates a stronger community. When people are equipped with financial knowledge, they make more informed decisions and become better consumers.”

In Oakland County, it has offered financial presentations and education in the Brandon School District, at Oakland University Reality Fairs and through the Financial 4.0 app and website that features financially-focused articles, videos and podcasts.
