Michigan Education Association issued the following announcement on March 20
Effective at the close of business today (Friday, March 20), all MEA offices statewide will be physically closed until further notice. Most MEA staff have already been working remotely, but we’re taking this extra step out caution for everyone’s health and safety during this crisis.
We remain committed to being there for our members, their students and the cause of public education. MEA remains open for business, with our staff working remotely to meet the needs of members as best as possible during this time.
Members in need of support can continue to contact local UniServ staff (www.mea.org/uniserv) via email or phone (voicemails will continue to be monitored). The MEA Help Center will also remain available remotely via email to help@mea.org, online web chat at MEA.org, and voicemails left at 866-MEA-HELP (866-632-4357).
