Cost of college went up for all students at Olivet College

Tuition and fees rose 3.7 percent for 2018-19 at Olivet College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $27,680 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $985 more than the $26,695 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 321 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.8 million and 281 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,098), 1,038 students used grants or scholarships totaling $19.6 million, and 890 students took out $6.3 million in federal student loans.
