City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Dec 27.
The City of East Lansing is now accepting applications for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The submission deadline for grant applications is January 21, 2022, and the FY 2022-2023 program encompasses CDBG funding that would be provided for activities undertaken between July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023. The application and an application resource guide are available at https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/cdbg.
CDBG funding is intended for activities that help East Lansing’s low- to moderate-income individuals and communities. There are a variety of businesses, organizations and groups that are eligible to apply for CDBG funding as well as a variety of activities considered eligible for CDBG funding.
Examples of eligible activities include, but are not limited to: acquiring, constructing, rehabilitating or improving public facilities (neighborhood centers, sidewalks, public parks, etc.); providing public services (childcare, healthcare, job training, services for senior citizens, etc.); financing rehabilitation costs or down payment assistance for low- to moderate-income households; and supporting the establishment or stabilization of local microenterprises in East Lansing (businesses with five or fewer employees, one or more of whom owns the business). - Wednesday, December 29, 2021 – 3-4 p.m.
- Monday, January 3, 2022 – 10-11 a.m.
- Wednesday, January 5, 2022 – 3-4 p.m.
- Monday, January 10, 2022 – 10-11 a.m.
- Thursday, January 13, 2022 – 6-7 p.m.
- Tuesday, January 18, 2022 – 5-6 p.m.
- Thursday, January 20, 2022 – 6-7 p.m.
