City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Jan 4.

Community members are advised that the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) will be resuming capacity limits in the library building due to the significant spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Capacity will be temporarily limited to 40 people at one time in the building, beginning January 5, 2022, to keep community members as safe as possible. Masks continue to be required for all library patrons and staff, regardless of vaccination status.

Community members are reminded that the library continues to offer a digital library, curbside pickup, 24/7 hold pickup lockers and other virtual offerings for patrons. Visit www.elpl.org to learn more.

Other COVID-19 Reminders and Updates from the City of East Lansing

In addition to the mask requirements at ELPL, community members are reminded that masks continue to be required, regardless of vaccination status, in all City of East Lansing buildings, including ELPL, East Lansing City Hall, the East Lansing 54B District Court, the East Lansing Hannah Community Center and the East Lansing Department of Public Works. Masks are also required at public meetings.

The majority of public meetings for boards and commissions have been canceled for the month of January, with the exception of an Election Commission meeting on Jan. 11.
