Rep. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Michigan's 7th district, shared a series of tweets on February 13, 2025. These posts addressed topics ranging from gun safety legislation to Black History Month and concerns about Elon Musk's influence.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Slotkin commemorated the second anniversary of the Michigan State University shooting. In her tweet, she remembered the victims Arielle, Brian, and Alexandria and called for continued efforts towards "common-sense gun safety legislation."

Later that day, Rep. Slotkin emphasized the importance of celebrating Black History Month. She stated that "Black history is Michigan history. Black history is American history."

In a subsequent post, Slotkin raised concerns regarding Elon Musk's influence on public safety and national security due to his substantial federal contracts. She asserted that "he’s got significant conflicts of interest that we can’t ignore."
