Rep. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 7th district, has been active on social media discussing various issues related to federal workers and educational achievements in Michigan. Her recent tweets reflect her commitment to national security and education.

On February 14, 2025, Rep. Slotkin emphasized the critical role of federal workers in ensuring national safety across various sectors. She stated, "Federal workers are at the tip of the spear at protecting our physical safety and national security – whether it is law enforcement, testing our drinking water, border protection or airline traffic safety."

In another tweet on the same day, she shared her personal experience as a former federal worker and CIA officer. Addressing federal workers affiliated with AFGE National, she encouraged them not to lose hope. She wrote, "As a former federal worker and CIA officer, I told federal workers with @AFGENational to not give up the ship. Americans have no idea how they serve and, critically, keep the American people safe."

Later that day, Rep. Slotkin praised Michigan universities for their leadership in talent development and innovative research. Celebrating a particular achievement by Michigan Tech University, she remarked on its national designation as an outstanding accomplishment: "Michigan universities lead the nation in talent and pathbreaking research, and this national designation is a tremendous achievement for @michigantech."
