She stated that "If this Administration backs away from defending democracy and assisting Ukraine, it sends a troubling signal that we are retreating and ceding global leadership to countries like China."
Later that day, Slotkin addressed her involvement in scrutinizing a presidential nominee for a significant role at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
