Elissa Slotkin, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, has shared her views on various pressing issues through recent social media posts. Her tweets reflect her concerns about global leadership, constitutional duties, and national security.

On February 20, 2025, Slotkin expressed apprehension regarding the current administration's stance on international affairs. She stated that "If this Administration backs away from defending democracy and assisting Ukraine, it sends a troubling signal that we are retreating and ceding global leadership to countries like China."

Later that day, Slotkin addressed her involvement in scrutinizing a presidential nominee for a significant role at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She emphasized the importance of allegiance to the Constitution over personal or political affiliations. In her words: "Yesterday, I questioned the President's nominee to be the number two at the VA. These guys are swearing an oath to the Constitution -- not to a president, political party, or Elon Musk."

In another post from February 20, Slotkin discussed strategic measures necessary for national protection. She thanked Nicolle Wallace for engaging in a conversation about safeguarding American citizens and remarked: "If they flood the zone, we must be strategic. Thank you @NicolleDWallace for talking with me about how we should be ruthless in protecting the American people."
