Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 7th district, has shared her views on social media regarding recent events involving Andrew Lennox, a veteran and former employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Slotkin expressed concern over Lennox's dismissal from his position at the VA, attributing it to actions taken by Elon Musk.

In a tweet dated March 3, 2025, Rep. Slotkin stated: "Service is in Andrew’s blood, and after serving our nation as a U.S. Marine infantryman overseas and a recruiter stateside, he wanted to continue serving at the VA. Elon Musk knows nothing about the VA, and it’s shameful Andrew got a pink slip as part of these arbitrary firings."

On the same day, Slotkin announced that she would be hosting Lennox for an upcoming presidential speech. She tweeted: "I am thrilled to announce Andrew Lennox as my guest for the President's speech. Andrew is a Michigan veteran employed by the VA in Ann Arbor who was recently fired by DOGE and Elon Musk."

The following day, on March 4, 2025, Rep. Slotkin shared a brief update on her preparations for an upcoming speech with a succinct message: "Speech prep."
