On March 14, 2025, Rep. Slotkin tweeted about her meeting with Michigan K-12 superintendents. She noted that the discussion focused on their concerns regarding "the Department of Education, funding for low-income schools and for special ed," as well as the potential impact of an Executive Order on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on Michigan's schools. "My first meeting was with Michigan K-12 superintendents to hear their concerns about the Department of Education, funding for low-income schools and for special ed, and how the Executive Order on DEI would impact Michigan's schools."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Slotkin detailed her conversation with the Michigan Sheriff's Association. This dialogue covered "a whole range of issues," including gaps in Medicaid funding and risks associated with further cuts. Additionally, they addressed tariffs and drone policy among other pressing topics affecting community safety. "With the Michigan Sheriff's Association we talked about a whole range of issues, including existing gaps in current Medicaid funding and the risks of additional cuts, tariffs, drone policy, and other issues up in the air for those on the front lines of keeping our communities…"

The following day on March 15, 2025, Rep. Slotkin reflected on her connection to Michigan amid challenging times in a tweet where she expressed gratitude for discussing national service importance during an interaction facilitated by Vanity Fair magazine. She emphasized that despite turbulent circumstances nationally, "Michigan will always be my anchor." "We’re living in turbulent times. But Michigan will always be my anchor."
