On March 17, 2025, Rep. Slotkin attended an event at Little Caesars Arena (LCA) for the @thepwhlofficial Takeover Tour. She watched the New York Sirens play against the Minnesota Frost in front of a sold-out crowd. Slotkin noted the enthusiasm among young girls present with their hockey teams: "Went to LCA tonight for the @thepwhlofficial Takeover Tour to watch the New York Sirens play the Minnesota Frost. It was a sold out crowd and so great to see so many young girls cheering with their own hockey teams in the stands."
Following this event on March 17, 2025, she expressed her desire for Detroit to have its own professional team given that several players hail from Michigan: "A bunch of the professional players even grew up in Michigan. Detroit needs our own team!"
Later that day, Rep. Slotkin congratulated graduates from a local trade organization via social media, emphasizing Michigan's role as a hub for manufacturing and construction: "When the country wants things built, they come to Michigan. Congratulations to the graduating class of 2025 at the Michigan Regional Council of Millwrights."
