Sen. Elissa Slotkin discusses leadership and bipartisan engagement at Levin Center

Sen. Elissa Slotkin, currently representing Michigan’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her engagements and reflections via social media posts.

On September 19, 2025, Slotkin highlighted a visit to the Levin Center at Wayne State University and an encounter with Kate Levin, daughter of the late Senator Carl Levin. She wrote: "Last week, I spoke at the Levin Center at Wayne State University and got to meet Kate Levin, one of Senator Levin's daughters. In another post from September 19, Slotkin thanked former Republican Congressman John Katko for joining her in Detroit at the Levin Center. Elissa Slotkin has represented Michigan’s 7th District since replacing Mike Bishop in Congress in 2019. Born in New York City in 1976 and currently residing in Lansing, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.
