State Rep. Cam Cavitt welcomed Miranda Roiter of Greenbush to the state Capitol this week to honor her achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout. Roiter is a member of Scouts America Troop 7 and is the first female Eagle Scout in both Alcona and Iosco counties.

“This milestone marks a defining achievement of dedication, perseverance, and character, qualities long admired by the people of this state as hallmarks of responsible citizenship and leadership,” said Cavitt, R-Cheboygan. “Through her years of service and leadership, she has inspired others with her determination and willingness to take on challenges.”

Roiter is a senior at Alcona High School and the daughter of Mark and Carrie Roiter. She has earned several merit badges in various fields, participated in the National Scout Jamboree, and contributed to her community through volunteer work and leadership roles. For her Eagle Scout Service Project, she built ADA-accessible benches for Harrisville Harbor.
