Congressman Tom Barrett recently highlighted federal investments in Livingston County and the impact of tax cuts for Michigan residents through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On April 17, 2026, Barrett expressed gratitude to Secretary Rollins for participating in a local event, stating: “Thank you to @SecRollins for joining me at Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch earlier this week to celebrate the $495,000 investment for a new computer system that will help dispatchers and first responders save lives.”
Continuing his focus on emergency response improvements, Barrett wrote on April 18, 2026: “Livingston County dispatchers always answer the call of duty and get local residents the lifesaving assistance they need. With help from a federal investment I secured, the county will be able to upgrade its outdated computer system and get first responders to emergencies more”
On the same day, Barrett addressed economic issues affecting rural communities: “The Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering relief to farmers and workers, boosting Michigan agriculture, and strengthening our rural communities. I was proud to welcome @SecRollins to mid-Michigan to celebrate these wins for food security and hardworking Michiganders.”
Congressman Tom Barrett represents Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. His recent efforts include advocating for technology upgrades in emergency services and supporting measures aimed at improving economic conditions for rural families in Michigan.
