Donald Trump shared his disappointment with the United States Supreme Court for its failure to take meaningful action on election challenges.
“I am very disappointed in the United States Supreme Court, and so is our great country!” Trump said in a tweet.
The tweet comes as Trump attorney Sidney Powell accused SCOTUS of “slow-walking” petitions in Georgia and Michigan.
“The #SupremeCourt electronic filing system shows our EMERGENCY Petitions docketed for #Georgia & #Michigan but SLOW-walking w/ state response not due until JAN 14! Today it FINALLY submitted our #Arizona & #Wisconsin EMERGENCY petitions filed Friday INEXPLICABLY rejected them,” Powell said in a tweet.
To date the Supreme Court has released two one-page rulings out of the hundreds of challenges by Trump and his allies.
Last week the court ruled against a Texas suit against battleground states in which the way Electoral College votes were allocated was challenged.
Justice Samuel Alito dissented with Clarence Thomas joining.
In the days following the election, Alito ordered mail-in ballots be segregated from those cast in person.
In Michigan, Antrim County’s votes were recently hand audited showing a gain for Trump. The county has been at the focus of questions over its voting machine systems after 6,000 votes flipped from Trump to Biden on election night
In testimony, experts have noted unexplained data in the state.
