Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement.
“While we are disappointed the City of Lansing did not realize the full financial benefit from retiree health care reform, the $3.5 million in annual savings is a positive step forward.
With more than $750 million in unfunded liabilities and the looming economic impact on the economy post COVID, the City’s ability to deliver core services will be impacted if long
term financial solutions are not implemented.”
