ELPD to Host Meet & Greets for Residents and Neighborhood Watch/Sector Officers

Meet and greet 1

City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Mar 11.

The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) will be hosting a series of Meet & Greets on a quarterly basis to provide community members with an opportunity to meet with their neighborhood watch/sector officers in an informal setting.

As a part of ELPD’s Neighborhood Watch/Sector Officer Program, ELPD partners with residents to improve quality of life and safety in neighborhoods through communication, observation and awareness. ELPD is divided into five Neighborhood Watch Sectors to best serve the community, with each sector led by a sergeant and a team of neighborhood watch/sector officers who are responsible for working with neighborhoods and addressing residents’ needs.

Throughout the month of March, community members will have the opportunity to meet with the ELPD officer(s) assigned to their neighborhood to ask questions and discuss neighborhood safety. The Meet & Greets are open to all community members and community members aren’t limited to attending their sector’s event.

Dates, times and locations for upcoming Meet & Greets are provided below:

Sunday, March 13 at 4 p.m. – Foster Coffee Company, 196 Albert Ave
