How many students were enrolled in Dansville Schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 748 students enrolled in Dansville Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.2% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.9% of them were girls, and 48.1% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 93.4% of the Dansville Schools total enrollment.

Dansville Schools covers three schools within Ingham County with its main office in Dansville. Among them, Dansville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 347 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
