There were 5,096 students enrolled in Grand Ledge Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% more than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.4% of them were boys, and 49.6% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 75.4% of the Grand Ledge Public Schools total enrollment.

Grand Ledge Public Schools covers eight schools within Eaton County with its main office in Grand Ledge. Among them, Grand Ledge High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,650 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
