Senator Mark Huizenga of Walker has issued a statement following his vote in favor of the final passage of Michigan’s fiscal year 2026 state budget. The senator emphasized the focus on supporting families in West Michigan, tax reductions, and increased investment in education.
“This budget is about putting West Michigan families first — cutting taxes, easing the cost of living, and investing in schools so every child has a chance to succeed. It’s not perfect, but it proves that when we work together, we can deliver results. I’ll keep working across the aisle to solve problems and strengthen our communities,” said Huizenga.
