Slotkin was born in New York City in 1976 and currently resides in Lansing. She graduated from Cornell University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Since replacing Mike Bishop in Congress in 2019, she has focused on issues affecting Michigan residents such as health care affordability and international partnerships.
