The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced that pavement repairs on the westbound I-94 at the Airport Road bridge and the westbound ramps at the US-127/I-94 interchange in Jackson have been rescheduled. The work is set to begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, and is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
According to MDOT, one lane of westbound I-94 will be closed at the Airport Road bridge during this period for asphalt repairs. The closure will occur alongside work on the westbound ramps at the US-127/I-94 interchange in an effort to reduce traffic congestion.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes while repairs are underway.
"This portion of work will require closing one lane on westbound I-94 at the Airport Road bridge on Wednesday morning for asphalt repairs, in conjunction with the westbound ramps to help minimize traffic back-ups," MDOT stated.
