Sen. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, shared several updates on her official X account on November 1, 2025.

In a morning post, Slotkin highlighted concerns about rising costs for local residents: "A couple from Warren will see their monthly cost increase from $800 to $2100 a month. Log on to https://t.co/6af0Z7VUAU, look at your plan, and send me your increases at https://t.co/866HZY2sUf. https://t.co/PKpwjBU5Mf" (November 1, 2025).

Later that day, she reminded constituents about the open enrollment period: "https://t.co/MXuWpz7jQj is open today for coverage starting January 1, 2026." (November 1, 2025).

In the evening, Slotkin congratulated Sault Ste. Marie for its selection as Michigan’s state Christmas tree location: "Congratulations to Sault Ste. Marie on being selected for Michigan’s 2025 state Christmas tree - the third time SSM has earned this honor! Special thanks to Linda Ried for donating this beautiful 68-foot spruce in honor of her grandparents, Lawrence & Nettie Richey..." (November 1, 2025).

Slotkin was born in New York City in 1976 and currently resides in Lansing. She holds a BA from Cornell University (1998). Before her current term representing Michigan's 7th district began in 2019—when she succeeded Mike Bishop—she had built experience relevant to public service.
