Sen. Elissa Slotkin, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on November 5, 2025, addressing national political concerns and healthcare costs.

Later that day at 14:30 UTC, Slotkin highlighted rising healthcare premiums for Michigan residents. She stated, "In 2026, a Detroit couple making $85,000 combined will see their premiums on their https://t.co/6af0Z7VUAU plan go from $728 per month to $2186 per month.
