Rob Minard, a resident of Bath Township, pleaded guilty to two felony charges in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County. The hearing took place before Judge James Jamo. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced the plea.

Minard was originally charged in December 2024 with several felonies. The case involved allegations that he misappropriated funds from three nonprofit organizations and two political action committees associated with former Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield.

The guilty pleas included one count of larceny by false pretenses—specifically, stealing between $20,000 and $50,000 from Working Together for a Better Michigan, an independent political action committee. The charge also noted harm to political candidates that the committee was intended to support. The second charge was filing a false tax return.

According to the Attorney General's office, Minard has agreed as part of his plea agreement to provide truthful testimony at future hearings related to these matters.

He is also required to pay full restitution for amounts owed to the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 17 at 11 a.m. in the same court.
