Congressman Tom Barrett has recently highlighted several community and national issues in a series of posts on his social media account.

On November 5, 2025, Barrett acknowledged the contributions of a local business, writing, "Andy T’s Farm Market in St. Johns has provided locally-grown food and family-friendly fun for 40 years. This weekend, I had the privilege of celebrating their anniversary and recognizing the lasting impact Andy T and his business have had on our community. Here’s to the next four https://t.co/iCfLe8cSOO".

The following day, Barrett addressed concerns about national transportation disruptions amid ongoing government funding disputes. On November 6, he stated, "Travelers across the country are getting stuck in hours-long security lines, airports are ordering ground stops, and now the FAA is reducing air traffic thanks to the Democrats’ shutdown. This is only going to get worse heading into the holiday season. It’s time to end the chaos."

On November 7, Barrett reported on efforts to support local food banks during what he described as challenging times for mid-Michigan communities: "I stopped by the Holt Community and Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Banks today to drop off some food, help my constituents and volunteers, and see how the Democrats’ shutdown is leading to food insecurity in our mid-Michigan communities. I voted to fund the government and preserve https://t.co/PaXi5BIZog".

Barrett represents Michigan's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. His recent statements reflect ongoing debates over federal government funding and its effects on public services such as airport operations and food assistance programs.
