As Gov. Gretchen Whitmer advises Michigan residents not to travel for the holidays, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation has restarted a campaign to promote tourism, according to Michigan Capitol Confidential.
Sen. Jim Runestad (R-White Lake) recently urged Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Director Robert Gordon that seniors, individuals with underlying health conditions, frontline health care workers and essential workers be given the highest priority for the COVID-19 vaccine, once it becomes available, according to MiSenateGOP.
The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association (MRLA) issued a press release stating that recent government orders to close indoor dining service for restaurants and bars may actually increase the number of “super-spreader” COVID-19 events, as people may choose to gather at private residences instead, according to Michigan Capitol Confidential.
