Just as President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit seeking to halt the count of additional votes in Michigan, protesters stormed TCF Center in Detroit, where votes were being counted.

Trump’s campaign filed the lawsuit at 4 p.m. today, alleging that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is violating the state’s constitution, as well as the state’s election laws, because it is continuing to process ballots without allowing challengers to observe.

The lawsuit is seeking Benson to separate the ballots that were submitted via drop boxes and to stop counting them until the video surveillance of the drop boxes can be reviewed. Benson previously said the drop boxes were placed in well-lit areas with video surveillance.

Trump has filed lawsuits in both Michigan and Pennsylvania to stop processing ballots. The Federalist was blunt in its assessment of the situation, saying “Yes, Democrats Are Trying To Steal The Election In Michigan, Wisconsin, And Pennsylvania.”

It reported that the three battleground states have had voting irregularities, noting that in Michigan, there were 138,339 votes that showed up overnight for challenger Joe Biden and zero for Trump.

“So while everyone was asleep and after everyone went home, Democrats in Michigan magically found a trove of 138,339 votes, and all 138,339 of those ‘votes’ magically went to Biden?” The Federalists’ Sean Davis tweeted. “That doesn’t look suspicious at all.”

The Federalist reported on another mysterious vote dump in Wisconsin as well.

The Detroit News reported in September that the city had problems counting votes in the Aug. 4 primary, but it says those problems were not an isolated incident and that the city had been having trouble counting votes for the last 15 years.

In 2005 alone, there were discrepancies in nearly 30% of precincts across the city in voting totals. During an audit, it was found that legally incapacitated nursing home residents were being coaxed to vote, as well as there being more than 300,000 people who died or moved out of Detroit on the city’s voting rolls.

Since then, there have been other errors, like voting totals that didn’t match precinct poll book numbers.
