This beautiful flower is called butter and eggs, also known as yellow toadflax. This flower was introduced from Europe, but now grows wild through out Michigan. The orange/yellow part of the flower is known as the "honey guide" and acts like a target to guide insects into the long spur of the flower to ensure pollination.
