County of Clinton issued the following announcement on Nov 5.
We just celebrated Halloween together and you may have carved pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks ripe and ready for composting. Don't throw them in the garbage as our plump orange friends can live a second life in our soil. If you don't compost already, that's okay, you can simply bury pumpkins and they will decompose in the soil.
