City of Midland issued the following announcement on Mar 11.
Join the Library on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. to celebrate Women's History Month with a joint virtual program with the Midland Genealogical Society: “Finding Females and that Elusive Maiden Name” with genealogist Kristin Wenger.
Women represent half of our ancestors; yet, their identities and life stories often prove much more difficult to find than those of men. In this engaging and interactive session, learn why females can be challenging to research and walk through a step-by-step plan to uncover more information about the mysterious ladies in a family tree. Full of interesting record examples, photographs, and methodology demonstration, this presentation will equip and inspire everyone to find the stories of their female ancestors!
This program will be conducted virtually via Zoom and registration is required. Please register at gadml.librarycalendar.com by 4 p.m. on March 16 to receive the Zoom link.
