Grandville Police Department issued the following announcement on Mar 29.

You may receive a text message or email concerning “unable to deliver package”. If you click the link it takes you to a site that looks official. They ask for personal information and then ask you to pay a small shipping fee.

Some things to look for:

1. Suspicious links like the one in the photo. Notice it doesn’t say USPS in the link.

2. If you do click the link, check the other links on the landing page such as the FAQ’s or Contact Us. If they don’t work it’s another red flag. In some cases however, the links may actually take you to a legitimate site in order to convince you it is legitimate.

3. Always be suspicious of any entity soliciting for credit card info. If in doubt contact them yourself.

4. In this case when checking the tracking # on the USPS actual site USPS says there is no status available.
