Updating Masking Requirements for East Lansing Public Meetings

16

City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Apr 4.

Effective Tuesday, April 5, face masks will no longer be required at City of East Lansing public meetings, including meetings of the East Lansing City Council and East Lansing’s boards and commissions. People may choose to mask at any time.

It was previously announced that face masks would no longer be required of visitors and employees inside City of East Lansing buildings as of March 14, 2022, with some exceptions.

The exceptions that remain in place, where face mask requirements will continue, include the remaining performance of the 2022 Children’s Cultural Concert Series and the School Age Programs offered by the East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts, including Before & After School and Break Care. Additionally, face mask requirements will remain in place for the East Lansing Public Library’s children’s programs and events.
