The East Tawas City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 in the Council Chambers of the East Tawas City Hall, 760 Newman Street, East Tawas, Michigan (989) 362-6161.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments on the proposed ordinance, Addressing Floodplain Management Provisions of the State Construction Code, repealing all current ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance. The ordinance will address floodplain management provisions of the State Construction Code to meet the standards of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) allowing the City to continue its eligibility in the program.
