EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Arts Commission is currently accepting applications for its Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Cultural Arts Grant program.
The Cultural Arts Grant program supports high-quality public art projects that encourage artistic expression and public participation, with an emphasis on promoting cultural appreciation for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities as well as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. The commission has up to $17,500 to allocate for FY23.
“This is a great opportunity for groups, organizations, businesses or individuals to potentially receive some grant funding support for events or projects that encourage artistic awareness, public participation and or cultural arts appreciation in our East Lansing community,” said East Lansing Art Festival and Arts Initiative Coordinator Heather Majano.
FY23 grant-funded projects and events must take place between November 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. Applications for FY23 Cultural Arts Grant funding must be received by 5 p.m. on September 15, 2022 to be considered.
