ELPD to Host Upcoming Sector Officer Meet & Greets

EAST LANSING, Mich. —The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) will be hosting four upcoming Sector Officer Meet & Greets, providing an opportunity for community members to get to know the officers working in Sectors 2, 3, 4 and 5 in East Lansing.

  • Sector 5 Meet & Greet

    Monday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.

    Landings at Chandler Crossings (in the clubhouse), 16789 Chandler Road

  • Sector 2 Cookout

    Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5-7 p.m.

    ELPD’s Parking Lot, 409 Park Lane

    Food and beverages will be provided.

  • Sector 4 Meet & Greet

    Sunday, Oct. 23 from 3-5 p.m.

    Henry Fine Park (Winchester Drive at Crown Boulevard)

    Donuts and cider will be served.

  • Sector 3 Party in the Park during the East Lansing Farmers Market

    Sunday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

    Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court

    The Sector 3 officers will be at the last market of the 2022 season with a treat station (handing out candy) and a trick station (showing off one of ELPD’s patrol cars).

All East Lansing residents, including MSU students living on or off campus, are invited to stop by these events to meet the Sector 2,3,4 and 5 officers, ask questions, share concerns and make suggestions. ELPD’s sector officers are responsible for working with neighborhoods located in various police sectors throughout the City in order to foster mutually beneficial relationships between community members and police, while also creating opportunities for proactive community engagement.

These events are not limited to those community members who reside in these sectors. All community members are welcome to attend!
