Mayor Andy Schor has prioritized funding for basic human needs in his Human Relations & Community Services Department budget.
Working with Director Kim Coleman and her staff, the City of Lansing has allocated $20,000 to the Advancement Corporation to enroll 35 people in the "Opportunity Knox Apprenticeship," provide education and training to 29 program participants, and provide specialized work equipment to 28 program participants.
