Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district since 2019, recently shared updates and reminders for her constituents as Thanksgiving approaches. In a series of tweets posted on November 22, 2024, Slotkin outlined how her office is handling casework and provided information about upcoming office closures.

In her first tweet, Rep. Slotkin reminded constituents about the procedures for handling casework during this period. She noted that as Thanksgiving nears, it was important to share these updates with those in #MI07.

The second tweet from Rep. Slotkin detailed the transition plan for her team in Washington D.C., stating that "under the House’s plan for transitioning to the new Congress," her team was moving out of their office that day while balancing legislative duties with packing up. She also mentioned that her Lansing office would remain open until Wednesday, December 11 here.

In a subsequent tweet, she addressed the challenges related to closing down physical offices but assured constituents that phone lines would continue operating through December despite restricted capacity. She requested patience if callers reached voicemail initially here.
