Rep. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 7th district, shared her reflections and concerns on various topics through a series of tweets. Her messages touched upon the legacy of a fellow politician and addressed international security issues.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Slotkin expressed gratitude towards Senator Debbie Stabenow for her extensive service to Michigan and the nation. She stated: "Thank you, @SenStabenow, for your tireless dedication and service to the state of Michigan and our country. I and so many other women stand on your shoulders because you have spent 50 years setting the standard, leaving massive shoes I will do my best to fill."

In another tweet from the same day, she reflected on Senator Stabenow's career achievements: "As we look back on her incredible career, the words 'the first' are included in many of her titles – because the Senator has embodied being a trailblazer since the very beginning."

Later that day, Rep. Slotkin turned her attention to international affairs with a statement regarding attacks in Kosovo: "The recent attacks against Kosovo’s critical infrastructure and government buildings targeted the country’s water and energy supplies — a dangerous move for an already fragile part of the world. Those responsible should be held accountable."
