Elissa Slotkin, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan's 7th district, has recently shared her views on international security and political developments in Europe through a series of tweets. These statements reflect her engagement with global issues that have implications for both the United States and its allies.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Slotkin praised the efforts of Kosovo’s law enforcement forces and NATO's KFOR mission in maintaining civilian safety and security. She emphasized the importance of stability in the Balkans for European stability, noting that "MI is home to many with ties to Kosovo" "I commend the quick response of Kosovo’s law enforcement forces and commend @NATO_KFOR for contributing to civilian safety and security."

In another tweet posted on December 6, 2024, Rep. Slotkin addressed concerns about foreign interference in Romania's electoral process. She highlighted a report from the Romanian Supreme Council for National Defense regarding Russian cyber activities aimed at influencing Romania’s elections "I’m doing so especially in light of the Romanian Supreme Council for National Defense’s report indicating that malign Russian cyber activity is attempting to influence the outcome of Romania’s elections."

Additionally, as Co-Chair of the Romania Caucus, Rep. Slotkin expressed her active interest in monitoring Romania's presidential elections scheduled for December 8 "As a Co-Chair of the Romania Caucus, I am closely following Romania’s presidential elections on Dec. 8."
