Rep. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district, shared reflections and updates through a series of tweets on December 6, 2024. Her messages touched upon her gratitude towards a colleague's service and her final initiatives as she concludes her term in the House of Representatives.

In one tweet posted at 20:40 UTC, Rep. Slotkin expressed appreciation for a fellow public servant's career, stating: "We should all be grateful for Dan’s decades of public service, both here in Congress and back home. I’m wishing him well in his next chapter, but will certainly miss seeing him here in Washington."

Later that evening at 22:05 UTC, she provided an update regarding her tenure in Congress: "As I approach the conclusion of my time in the U.S. House of Representatives, I wanted to provide a final update on an important tool we’ve used to deliver for Mid-Michigan: Community Project Funding." This tweet highlights her focus on community project funding during her service.

Following this announcement at nearly the same time, Rep. Slotkin revealed plans for future funding efforts: "Plus, I have requested more than $30 million in additional funding for 15 new projects for this upcoming year." This statement underscores her ongoing commitment to securing resources for regional projects even as she prepares to leave office.
