Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan's 7th district since 2019, has been vocal on various issues through her social media presence. Born in New York City in 1976 and currently residing in Lansing, Slotkin is an alumna of Cornell University.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Slotkin emphasized the importance of allegiance to the Constitution over personal loyalty to any president. She stated: "As I noted in several confirmation hearings, administration officials swear an oath to the Constitution, not to President Trump, and now is the time to uphold that oath."

Later that day, she addressed ongoing legislative matters with a brief announcement regarding ICC legislation being reviewed by the Senate: "My statement on ICC legislation being considered in the Senate." The tweet was posted at 20:10 UTC.

The following day, on January 29, Rep. Slotkin shared her approval of recent developments beneficial to Michigan residents. She remarked: "This is welcome news and a win for Michiganders. Creating chaos is not how we lower costs, create jobs and keep people safe." This statement was made at 18:24 UTC.
