Rep. Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district, has recently expressed her views on several pressing issues via social media. The following is a summary of her statements made on February 5 and 6, 2025.

On February 5, Rep. Slotkin criticized a proposal by the President concerning the situation in Palestine. She stated that "What the President is proposing is the forced, unlawful removal of Palestinians from their homes, and would require a dangerous new deployment of US troops. This is unserious, counterproductive, and will prolong a conflict that has already seen so much tragedy."

The following day, on February 6, she commented on the influence of billionaires in government roles. She warned against giving significant control to wealthy individuals like Elon Musk by stating "You can’t hand the keys of our govt to billionaires like Elon Musk. They don’t understand how dismantling everything puts our public safety, national security or economy at risk." Slotkin emphasized that while reducing governmental inefficiencies is necessary, it should not come at the cost of essential functions.

Later that morning on February 6, Rep. Slotkin announced her participation in a Senate session where she planned to discuss various topics including Russell Vought's policies and their potential impact on Michigan as well as broader democratic and constitutional threats. She invited followers to watch her address through an online link: "Tune in as I take to the floor of the U.S. Senate to talk about the dangers of Russell Vought..."
