Elissa Slotkin, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan's 7th District since 2019, recently shared her perspectives on current political issues through a series of tweets. Slotkin’s comments focus on budgetary matters, changes in military leadership, and challenges facing U.S. postal services, reflecting her ongoing engagement in political discourse.

On April 4, 2025, Slotkin expressed her skepticism about a Republican budget proposal, stating "There is some magic math going on from beginning to end on this Republican budget package. And don't be fooled. They are coming for your health care."

Later that day, she raised concerns over recent changes in military leadership, asserting "This morning we learned that a well-known white nationalist met with the President and convinced him to fire several qualified generals for no reason. My concern is that this is the new normal. And that service to country no longer means anything to those in power."

In another post, Slotkin addressed the economic challenges of providing postal services to rural areas, writing "No matter how you slice it, paying for mail delivery in the most rural areas is not economical. So rural service will get screwed in this kind of a plan." The remarks reflect her concern for the potential decline in service quality in these regions under current postal strategies.
