Congressman Tom Barrett has recently shared his activities and engagements through a series of tweets, highlighting his participation in events honoring law enforcement and military personnel. These posts provide insight into the congressman's dedication to recognizing those who serve the community and country.

On May 13, Congressman Barrett expressed his gratitude for local law enforcement during National Police Week. He attended a celebration in Leslie, where he honored the "Leslie City Police, Ingham County Sheriff, and Michigan State Police Departments." The congressman commended these departments for their continuous efforts to ensure community safety.

The following day, May 14, Barrett participated in PepsiCo's Rolling Remembrance event at the Navy Memorial. In his tweet, he stated he was "Honored to speak alongside @SecVetAffairs," emphasizing how such events unite the nation in remembering those who have served for freedom. He extended his thanks to Pepsi and the Fallen Patriots organization for their support.

Later on May 14, Barrett noted a significant meeting with Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard in Washington. This gathering was meant to honor two Michigan deputies who lost their lives while serving. The congressman paid tribute to Deputies Bradley Reckling and William Butler as "two of our state’s finest whose courage [and] service" were commendable.
