Senator Elissa Slotkin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 7th district, shared a series of tweets discussing key issues affecting her constituents. The tweets reflect her ongoing engagement with local concerns and legislative efforts.

On June 3, 2025, Senator Slotkin posted from Alpena, Michigan. The tweet was brief and marked by a location pin emoji: "Alpena, MI".

Later that day, she addressed the issue of prescription drug prices. She stated: "No matter where I am or who I am talking to, one of the most common things Michiganders bring up is the skyrocketing prices of prescription drugs. Our bill builds on the progress we made, extends the savings to more drugs, and helps Michiganders who need relief from high costs."

On June 4, 2025, Slotkin highlighted environmental concerns related to PFAS contamination in Michigan. She tweeted: "With the roll back of clean drinking water rules around PFAS, it’s time to start banging pots and pans about the impact in Michigan. I teamed up with Great Lakes PFAS Action for a town hall in Oscoda to hear directly from folks living with the impact of PFAS contamination."

Elissa Slotkin has been an active member of Congress since replacing Mike Bishop in 2019. Born in New York City in 1976 and now residing in Lansing, she graduated from Cornell University with a BA in 1998.
